The FRP pipelines installed in the 1960s in the United States have been running for more than 40 years and are still in normal operation.
China's FRP pipe industry is currently facing a huge market competition and development challenges, due to many manufacturers and good and bad, resulting in the phenomenon of abnormal competition within the industry. Low-quality products produced by small businesses lead to engineering quality accidents.
Currently in some areas, due to undisputed competition, some unscrupulous manufacturers blindly pursue "low cost", infiltrating the solvent in the resin, the FRP pipe greatly reduced the strength, fracture. In some parts of the South, fiberglass water supply and drainage pipes are referred to as "prohibited products." At present, the relevant state departments of the United States domestic fiberglass, glass steel testing center for glass fiber reinforced plastic pipe testing and certification to a large extent, to ensure that poor products to market.
All in all, although we have just started the product long-term performance experiment, there are a large number of basic technical issues waiting for us to complete, but overall our achievements in the development of FRP pipe.
