Move into the 12-18 inch range, covering most Creator Expert and Ideas sets, and you need 4-5mm minimum. At this size, 3mm panels develop visible bow over time, particularly with temperature fluctuation.

Most wholesale orders go wrong here: buyers spec 6mm across all sizes to standardize inventory. A tiered approach (3mm for sub-12", 5mm for mid-range, 8mm for UCS-scale) typically cuts material spend by 15-22% on orders above 200 units without compromising structural performance. Extruded acrylic develops stress whitening along the bend line; cast acrylic stays clear.
