Single vs Multi Tier Acrylic Organizers
The Short Version
Single-Tier: The Default Choice
Single-tier stuff is what 80% of the stores order first. It's one big flat tray, usually 1/8" or 3/16" material, walls glued on with Tensol 12 or whatever the new IPA stuff is called now. We laser-cut it, flame-polish the edges so they don't look like crap, and ship. That's it. You put it on a counter, dump lipstick or phone chargers in the slots, done. Weight limit is whatever the span is-if you go past 20" wide on 1/8" bottom it'll sag with ten pounds of candles in the middle. We've seen it, we warn people, they still do it, then they call us mad when it bows. Whatever.
Multi-Tier: When You Run Out of Counter
Multi-tier is when the buyer says "I only have 18 inches of counter depth but I need to show 60 SKUs." Then we build the staircase thing. Two levels, three levels, sometimes four if they're crazy. Risers are almost always 1/4" because 3/16" will flex like a diving board once you get to the third shelf. Glue joints are the pain-every single riser has to be pinned and clamped overnight or the damn thing rocks when you breathe on it. Takes twice as long to build, costs roughly double, sometimes a hair more if we have to add the little 3mm rubber bumpers on the bottom so it doesn't skate across glass counters at Ulta.

How Long It Really Takes Right Now
Lead time right now (Dec 2025) is 9 days on single-tier because we keep 4×8 sheets of blanks cut to the popular sizes. Multi-tier is running 3-1/2 to 4 weeks because half my bench guys are out with whatever flu is going around again.
What Actually Happens In Stores
Most of the chain drug buyers start with single-tier because it's cheap and they want to test the category. Six months later they come back for multi-tier because corporate says "we need more facings in the same space." Half the time they end up mixing both anyway-one single on the endcap for impulse, three-tier risers behind the register for the expensive stuff.
Advice If You're a Small Shop Reading This at 2 A.M.
If you're a small indie store and you're reading this at 2 a.m. trying to figure out what to order, just get twenty of each. Put them out, see what your customers actually grab, then order five hundred of whatever moves. We'll keep the tooling either way, doesn't cost you anything extra.
Bottom Line
That's literally all there is to it. Call if you want real quotes, the website prices are still stuck on 2023 numbers and I haven't had time to fix them.
