Glass is the main component of glass silica, in the glass industry, usually ordinary colorless transparent white glass called ordinary glass. This kind of glass is the largest product of flat glass production enterprises, and is also the most used raw material for glass deep-processing enterprises.

Use: direct use of white glass only for low grade office buildings, shops and housing, etc..

Performance:

Light and heat resistance are good, if not pay attention, sometimes ignore it and caused a lot of trouble". White glass resistant to strong wind, impact resistance is relatively poor, easy to break.

PMMA is polymethyl methacrylate, a kind of plastic. In 1927, the chemist of Rom Haas company in Germany heated the acrylic ester between two pieces of glass plates, and the acrylic ester was polymerized to form a sticky rubber sandwich, which could be used as a safety glass to prevent breaking. When they polymerized methyl methacrylate in the same way, they got an organic glass plate with good transparency and good properties, and it was polymethyl methacrylate.

In 1931, Rom & Haas company to engage in the production of PMMA, first used in the aircraft industry, replacing the used plastic celluloid, canopy and windshield.

If adding a variety of coloring agent in the production of organic glass, can polymerize into color organic glass; if adding fluorescent agent (such as zinc sulfide), can be polymerized fluorescent organic glass; if adding artificial pearl powder (such as basic lead carbonate), then prepared Pearl glass.
